Frequently Asked Questions

There maybe a number of questions you have if this is the first time you have hired a bouncy castle/ inflatable and we have answered some of the most common questions below, however if you have a different question which doesn’t appear below then please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.

How do you inflate the bouncy castle when you have delivered it? Will I be able to put it down?

Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or outside socket.  If there isn’t a nearby power supply we will provide a long extension cable and power breaker.  To deflate the castle, simply unplug power supply and it will slowly collapse (this should be done by an adult and ensure that on one is using the castle at the time).

What happens if  the weather forecast is bad on the day of the booking?

We still hire in wet weather.  sometimes the weather forecasts aren’t always correct. If you wish to cancel please see our cancellation policy in the booking policy.

How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?

The dimensions of our castles are shown in our gallery page, please also allow an additional 5 feet both back and front and at least 2 feet at the sides.

Can the bouncy castles go indoors?

Bouncy castles can go indoors but you must check the ceiling height of your venue before booking. The ceiling must be higher than the height of the castle booked and also to be aware of any objects such as lighting suspended from the ceiling. The heights of all our castles are on our website.

Are you fully insured, if a child gets injured who’s to blame?

We carry 10 million pounds worth of public liability cover, however as per our booking policy we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care. You are the sole person responsible for the castle and its use and therefore should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer. Our Public Liability covers us against set up faults or faulty equipment etc.

How much notice do I need to give to book a castle?

As much notice as possible as some of our popular units do get booked weeks in advance.  If you want a particular unit it is better to book this as soon as you know your date.  In any case we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do you charge for cancellation?

See cancellation policy.

What happens on delivery and collection?

We do all the setting up when we deliver your unit.   Once this is set up and cleaned we will go through the safety instructions with you.

On collection you don’t need to do anything and we will dismantle the unit.   If you have finished with it before we return then please feel free to turn this off.    We will  explain this to you on delivery.

How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?

As each inflatable is different in size and construction, each has different limits. Please see our inflatable booking policy to double check the maximum users allowed at one time.  Adults should only use the units designed for them.

Can you put a bouncy castle on a hard surface?

We can put an inflatable on a hard surface but will need to know at the time of booking so that we can arrange for sand bags can be brought on the day or hire.

How long do I get the keep the bouncy castle?

For a party in your own garden we usually deliver the castles in the morning and collect early evening.   Our delivery window is between 8:00am and 12:00pm and collection after 5:00pm. We guarantee at least 6 hours hire, but is is usually longer than this.   For indoor parties we normally deliver about an hour before your party and then collect when your party is finished.

Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?

In theory yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you are in charge and must make sure that people who use the castle are safe, don’t overload the castle to try to make extra money.   We do hire to a lot of schools/youth groups who do charge people to use the castle.   As the hirer you are liable for any damages and the castle must be returned in a clean condition.

What if it rains?

All our inflatables can be used in the rain. All of our inflatable bouncy castles come with shower covers.

Can the castle go on an uneven surfaces?

A slightly uneven surface or slighly sloping garden shouldn’t be a problem.    We will advise on delivery the best way to set this up.

My party is tomorrow. Can I still get a inflatable?

We normally have availability at short notice, so contact us and we will try and accommodate you.

Can I keep the bouncy castle over night?

Yes we do overnight hire and prices start at £25.00. The Unit can only be left if the area is secure. We may decline this if we feel there is a risk of injury or theft.

Is it cheaper if we pick up the bouncy castle ourselves?

We have to deliver and install the units ourselves to ensure that they are safe and ready to use.
